According to the mandate of the law, the implementation of halal certification obligations will officially begin on October 17, 2024.
Head of the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) M. Aqil Irham stated that all food and beverage businesses, slaughter products and slaughter services must be halal certified no later than October 17, 2024.
“Based on the provisions, after October 17, 2024, for food and beverage businesses, slaughter products, and slaughter services, must be halal certified. If not, they will be subject to sanctions,” said Aqil as quoted from the Ministry of Religious Affairs website, Monday (9/1).
